This is interesting and reassuring and funny. I like the idea of a co-working space for introverts-- it sounds like your Creative Club provides that! I shall have to come along some day soon. Thank you for sharing this.

So reassuring to read how someone as talented and accomplished as Meg Mason can find the process challenging and also feel they have to justify their work in some way. I absolutely loved Sorrow and Bliss so I definitely think the neighbours need to stop with the building / the office space should be rented so I can read what comes next!

Well said! When my son was a baby, I joined a writing space because we lived in a small Brooklyn apartment and I can't be productive in public spaces. I finished the novel I was working on and wrote the next one there. During quarantine, I set up a desk in our front hallway which meant I had to listen to our neighbors on the other side of the wall and when the pizza man came, I scared the hell out of him by opening the door immediately. I've recently rejoined the same writing space. Having a place where you go to write, and only write, makes a huge difference.
