I'm new here--and happy to be here--and definitely interested in a Writer's Hour. Your LWS info and materials has me going on that as well. Love the idea.
Your hourglass idea was splendid. I'm a long-time Pomodoro believer but have strayed from the path and may just jump-start myself with an hourglass for awareness' sake.
I have used Jitsi for meetups with other writing groups--it's free--but I am not sure the limitations on number of participants. We met for 90-120 minutes so it's definitely in the 'hour' class with no problem.
The timer thing really helps me as well! I use the forest app and more often than not I end up going overtime. But this short time-container helps me push past fear of failure, it’s like “you can do 30minutes of not failing, after that you’re allowed to fail again” 😂

I’d love a writers hour. I used to do the london one too but now 8-9 is tricky as need to get the kids off to school.

I'd be game! I use Google Meet (free account) and it doesn't have the 40 minute limit like Zoom does.
